Dear colleagues,
We are excited to announce that the 2019 Midwest Theory Days (MTD) will take place at Purdue University on April 26 and 27. For the newcomers
to the area, MTD is a yearly event organized by an institution in the Midwest. It is meant to bring together theory people at all levels of their careers, for research talks, posters, and discussions. The event’s website can be found
here.
The keynote speakers this year are Jelani Nelson (Harvard University), Sofya Raskhodnikova (Boston University and Simons Institute at Berkeley),
and Ryan Williams (MIT). The event will also feature several local speakers, including faculty and students, and a student poster session.
The event starts of Friday April 26 around 1pm, and ends on Saturday, April 27, around 3pm. It will be held in the CS Building on the Purdue
campus in West Lafayette. Please register by April 12 to help us with planning. Registration in free but required.
Please encourage your students to participate. Students who would like to talk or present a poster should register the details on the link
provided on the event’s website. We will try to accommodate as many requests as possible. A limited amount of housing is available for students. Students needing support should indicate so in the registration form. For inquiries about the event please email
us at

We look forward to seeing you at Purdue this April!
