Thank you, Aws!

In theory, yes, any madPL member can edit the website. How it works is that CSL has a GitLab hosted at https://git.doit.wisc.edu. Once you log onto that website with your netid, I can add you to the repository and then all you have to do is change the contents of the `public` directory to edit the live website. The website is built using the static site generator Jekyll. I'm currently working on adding a README with instructions on how to add content (new graduate students, faculty, news entries, talks, etc.). For the most part, it is quite simple as you edit the content in markdown, regenerate the site, and everything else gets updated automatically. It will require installing Jekyll and bundle (the package manager for Ruby) on your workstation, however.

As for the fonts, I will take a look when I have time. I am also aware that the photos size weirdly on phones as well.

Best regards,
Zach

Thanks so much, Zach! For the great work.

Two questions:
1. Can madPL members edit the website? If not, can we make it so?
2. Fonts on phone look off, but we can work that out later.

Thanks again! Finally we have a website.

Hi all!

As some of you may recall, I have been working on putting together a website for madPL. A draft of the website is now live and I would love some feedback from all of you. The website is located at: madpl.cs.wisc.edu.

Please let me know if I missed you on the website. Also let me know if you'd like a different picture posted, a different website (or any website), a name change, or anything else. If you have the default profile picture that means either I couldn't find an image for you, or, for some reason the image on your website was not downloading correctly for me. If you'd like a different picture, just email it to me and I'll have it posted as soon as I can.

Any other feedback is greatly appreciated!

Best regards,
Zach
