---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Michael Swift <swift@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, Mar 5, 2020, 4:03 PM Subject: Please encourage your students to submit to the Student Research Symposium To: Faculty <faculty@xxxxxxxxxxx> Hi folks - Please encourage your students to submit their work to the Student Research Symposium put on by WACM and SACM. It is a great event for students to show off their work to each other. A few important things to note: 1. It is fine to submit work that has already been published and presented â then we know it is great work, and it is very little additional work for your students to present work here they have already presented (or will present) else where. 2. Think about class projects: if you had any great class projects from last semester, please encourage those students to submit their work so they can show off a poster or presentation. Many of our students do great work in classes, and this symposium is a good way to show off your class to the rest of the department. Mike |
