Howdy yâall,
Next Monday at 12pm in CS 4310, weâve got part 2 of Jordanâs series on using Docker for research. Bring a machine with Docker and come follow along! Abstract to follow.
- Calvin
Abstract:
In our last workshop, we introduced Docker: an industry standard tool for running containers. In this workshop we will take a look at how you can incorporate Docker in your day-to-day research workflows. This includes everything from spinning up graph
databases to running scripts with complex dependencies. Also, if time permits, we'll take a look at using Docker and HTCondor together to scale-up your experiments.
To make the most of this workshop (and actively participate) please bring a machine with Docker installed. If you don't have docker installed locally you can read the documentation here (https://docs.docker.com/install/) or you can
always SSH into another machine you have access to that has a working docker installation.
