I was thinking we don't have to have the letters "PL" in name. Here are some more suggestions.

- PoPSE: Principles of Programming and Software Engineering -- pronounced popsy

- FoPSE: Future of Programming and Software Engineering

- MadPLSE: pronounced mad pulse

- MadAPPLES: Madison's Applications and Principles of Programming Languages, software Engineering, and Security

- MadPS: MadÂProgramming languages, Software engineering, and Security
