Instead of a "regular" mad-sage event this week, we are letting everyone
know about this talk:

     SEARCHING FOR EXTRATERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENCE

     Frank Drake, Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI),
     will discuss current efforts to capture signals of intelligent life
     beyond Earth, and SETI's parternership with the Mars exploration
     program.

Dave Plonka has suggested that anyone interested in a pre-talk gathering
can meet at the French Quarter Cafe (1st floor of Luther's Blues on
