SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/PROGRAMMER
The University of Wisconsin (Madison) Computer Sciences Department has an
opening for a full time System Administrator/Programmer in the Computer
Systems Lab. This position is a SAGE Level 2, 3, or 4 (junior,
intermediate/advanced, or senior. See

DUTIES and WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will involve working with other members of the Systems
Lab staff in system administration, research, support and development
for the Computer Sciences Department computing facilities.
The Systems Lab employs 8 full time software and systems
administration staff, 2 graduate assistants, and about 12
undergraduate students (working 10-20 hours per week) in a casual
work environment.
The CSL provides and supports the research, instructional and
administrative computing needs of the Computer Sciences
department. Currently we have about 500 Unix workstations, 250
Windows NT workstations, a 250-node Linux cluster, and a handful of
special-purpose computers.
