The Condor Team is pleased to announce the release and immediate
availability of Condor 6.9.5 for download from:

Condor 6.9.5 contains all bug fixes from the 6.8.x stable series
through the 6.8.7 release (due out tomorrow), and numerous bug fixes
for problems introduced in the 6.9.x development series. In
particular, a critical bug in 6.9.4 that could cause corruption of
binary data files written by standard universe jobs is now fixed.
Users of Condor version 6.9.4 are urged to upgrade immediately.
Users of the 6.8.x stable series should not upgrade until the next
stable release is available.
Version 6.9.5 also adds several new features, including: scalability
improvements, updates between the starter and startd which allow more
accurate job eviction policies, enhancements to Condor's privilege
separation, and more.

The 6.9.5 release is considered by the Condor Team to be the first
"release candidate" for the next stable release. Therefore, no new
features will be added to the Condor 6.9.x development series at this
point, only bug fixes will be included between now and the
forthcoming 7.0.0 release.
