The Condor Team is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability
of Condor 6.9.0 for download from:

  http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/downloads/

This is the initial release of the new 6.9.x development series for adding new features based on the 6.8.x stable code. The primary new feature available in 6.9.0 is initial support for privilege separation using glexec. More details can be found here:

  http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/manual/v6.9/8_3Development_Release.html

Also, please note that the 6.9.0 release no longer includes binaries for x86 RedHat 8.0. x86 RedHat 7.2 and 9 are still included (though RedHat 7.2 binaries may be dropped during the 6.9.x series).

Since 6.9.0 is a development release, it is NOT recommended for production pools. The 6.9.0 release was not as rigorously tested by the Condor Team as the 6.8.x stable releases. Use 6.9.0 only at your own risk.

Thanks!
The Condor Team
