[condor-users] Condor 6.6.5 on Linux - condor_startd does not start up

I am trying to set up a linux pool with Condor 6.6.5 (I've already set up
a Windows & Sun pool with Condor 6.4.7).

After installing Condor 6.6.5 on my master machine, when I did a "ps -ef |
grep condor_" - condor_startd did not show up.

rkvenkat  7007     1  0 17:01 ?        00:00:00 ./condor_master
rkvenkat  7008  7007  0 17:01 ?        00:00:00 condor_schedd -f
rkvenkat  7010  7007  0 17:01 ?        00:00:00 condor_collector -f
rkvenkat  7011  7007  0 17:01 ?        00:00:00 condor_negotiator -f

Also No machine shows up when I do "condor_status". I don't know if the
above two are related.

Please let me know what the problem is.
