Thanks for the mail. I have added the bit below to my config file.

Please find attached the following log files:

Masterlog
StartLog
StarterLog

NB: I am currently trying 6.4.7 on NT4. This is the only version to run a job,
even if startd keeps "crashing".  I have yet to get a job to run on 6.6.x The
log files look very similar.

I suspect this is a red herring, but I'm not sure. You certainly need
TCP/IP enabled, but I don't believe you need anything besides that. Could
you add:

STARTD_DEBUG = $(STARTD_DEBUG) D_FULLDEBUG

to your config file, and repost your StartLog?
