[condor-users] unknown user?

Hi,

What am I doing wrong - can anyone please tell me?

I log in as root on the node, which runs Condor 6.6.2 on RH 7.3

condor is running ok, but whenever I want to restart it or shutdown,
whatever, I get this -

$ condor off -master
Sent "Kill-Daemon" command for "master" to local master

MasterLog - 
...
DaemonCore: PERMISSION DENIED to unknown user from host <...:9611> for
command 60005 (DC_OFF_GRACEFUL)

or
$ condor restart
Sent "Restart" command to local master

MasterLog -
...
DaemonCore: PERMISSION DENIED to unknown user from host <...:9617> for
command 453 (RESTART)

So why root is not known?
