We are very pleased to announce that the 2025 European HTCondor Workshop will be held from Tuesday 16th September to Friday 19th September, at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague !
To allow ease of travel to and from the venue the meeting will start at on Tuesday morning and run until lunchtime on the Friday.
Registration is now open at the meeting Indico site: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1459943/
There will be a workshop fee of â300 (early bird) to cover lunches, teas and coffees, reception and a social dinner on the Thursday evening.
This is the 11th workshop in this series and we are again blessed by the fact that not only Myron as team/strategical leader will be present but as always members of the core developer team will make the workshop to a unique oportunity to get in contact with the people that developed the ideas of hight throughput computing as such and are celebrating the 40th birthday of the Condor project this year !
Hence the week in Prague will be an excellent occasion for learning from the experts (the developers!) about HTCondor, exchanging with your colleagues about experiences and plans, and providing your feedback to the experts.
The program will be published in due course and will cover all aspects of administration and future planning of HTC compute pools, as always we are also very keen to hear from you what specific topics you would like to see covered maybe in more detail - please let us know !
Participation is open to all organisations (including companies) and persons interested in HTCondor (and by no means restricted to particle physics and/or academia!) If you know potentially interested persons, don't hesitate to make them aware of this opportunity.
The workshop will cover both using and administering HTCondor; topics will be chosen to best match participants' interests.
We would very much like to know about your use of HTCondor, in you project, your experience and your plans. Hence you are warmly encouraged to propose a short presentation - abstract submission will be opened by the end of the week.
If you have any questions, please contact hepix-2025condorworkshop-support@xxxxxxxxx.
We are looking forward to a rich, productive workshop.
