Re: [HTCondor-users] Execute nodes failing to authenticate to condor-ce collector

Hi Eraldo,

Do you actually *want* the execute nodes to authenticate to the Condor-CE collector? For normal operations, the execute nodes only need to authenticate to the regular Condor Collector of the local batch system.

With a standard setup, these authentication attempts arenât actually your own execute nodes but rather the pilot/glide-in jobs running on them. They try to advertise themselves to the Condor-CE Collector for monitoring purposes.
If you want to enable this, see the Condor-CE docs [0] on how to insert IDTokens into the glide-ins.

Cheers,
Max

Hello all,

I'm noticing that all my execute nodes are failing to authenticate with my condor-ce collector.

Example error:

required authentication of <IP address> failed: AUTHENTICATE:1003:Failed to authenticate with any method|AUTHENTICATE:1004:Failed to authenticate using IDTOKENS

In the previous versions I''ve never needed to worry about that. How should I proceed?

Thanks in advance,

Eraldo
