Dear HTCondor Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on setting up an HTCondor pool using multiple Mac mini systems running macOS.
My intended configuration involves a multi-machine setup with the
Central Manager and Submit roles combined on one Mac, and several other Macs assigned as Execute nodes. However, I’ve encountered difficulties during the installation process.
The documentation appears to focus primarily on single-machine installations, and despite attempting various methods—including using
Homebrew, Rosetta, and manual configurations—I have not been successful in getting HTCondor fully operational on macOS. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide more detailed guidance or documentation specific to setting up a
multi-machine HTCondor pool on macOS, particularly with the Central Manager and Submit roles combined.
Any insights or best practices for working around macOS-related limitations would also be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response. Best,
