I'm not sure what you are asking here, but we use the standard Windows installer

and it controls things like which registry hive to write install information into. 

Windows seems to have been gradually changing how the installers operate over the years.  I don't believe it is possible for us to choose to write to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE in the installer.  If you know how so change that, please let me know.

Hi,

 

its possible that the install Condor for Windows, to be visible by all users in the Control Panel under Programs and Features.

 

The only user that can see it is the one that has installed it.

 

The MSI seems to write “installation informations” under HKEY_CURRENT_USER instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

 

All users that we tried had administrative rights.
