- as I've been actively investigating hibernation and wakeup schemes for a while
now, I'm aware of the _existence_ of absent and offline ads - but...
I'm struggling to understand whether those could be used to the extent where extra
information gets stored into them (e.g. for "external" use), and how to properly
add machines that haven't been Offlined by their Startd, or found to be Absent by
the Collector, or ones long forgotten which won't come back at all (but would be
nice to be represented in some way, maybe with their cause of death).
Documentation seems to be sparse or well hidden from my ageing eyes.
