Hello Gerard,
Our native packages and tarballs are all set up to use LOCAL_CONFIG_DIR. ([/]etc/condor/config.d)
The config.d mechanism is more flexible and our default security
configuration is in this directory.
Other than having multiple independent files in the config.d directory, the LOCAL_CONFIG_FILE can configure anything that can be configured in the LOCAL_CONFIG_DIR.

Use caution responding, opening attachments or clicking on links. ***Is choosing between using LOCAL_CONFIG_DIR or LOCAL_CONFIG_FILE strictly a matter of administrative preference? Is there anything that can be configure in one that canât be configured in the other?
