[HTCondor-users] Query about Condor Priority mechanism

HiÂGuys,

        I have a question here regarding the Condor priorityÂmechanism.

So, since condor weighs each user by how much time they take up on the cluster and allocates less cores to them, what happens when servers ( execute nodes ) are different in terms of speed ( Cores freq )?Â

Would a user that has jobsÂend up on a slow server be perceived by condor to be taking up more time, and therefore be allocated less resources?

If that's the case, whoever user is unlucky enough to end up on the slow server, will not only have their sims running slower, they will also be penalized further by getting less cores.

Please advise how we can address this?
