It does not matter.
If you remove it, the new version will be installed.
If you don't remove it, the old version will be updated to the new version.

In the get_htcondor bash script there is line about removing an old version
- To remove: $sh_c "yum -y autoremove ${PACKAGE} && rm -fr /etc/condor"
Just to check, should we also be removing htcondor-release.noarch from the list of installed packages as well? Or will that be overwritten when installing the rpm from a newer major version?
