Hello, I am attempting to setup a bunch of Ubuntu 20 machines so they can run jobs on the Docker universe. Those machine are currently used with the Vanilla universe. I am following instructions from
https://htcondor.readthedocs.io/en/latest/admin-manual/setting-up-vm-docker-universes.html#the-docker-universe, and so far I’ve only tried deployment on a single machine. > The Docker service must be pre-installed on each execute machine that can execute a docker universe job. I’ve installed Docker following instructions from
https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/ubuntu/ and verified root could run the hello-world demo container. I’ve also verified that dockerd is up and running. > Upon start up of the condor_startd daemon, the capability of the execute machine to run docker universe jobs is probed, and the machine ClassAd attribute HasDocker is advertised for a machine that is capable of running Docker universe
jobs. However upon restarting the condor daemon and inspecting the ClassAd attributes for this trial machine, it appears that there is no HasDocker attribute defined. Is there any additional extra step that needs to be done for this to work as described in the documentation? Condor on this machine and most of our flock execution nodes is version 8.6.8. Thanks for your help. –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-
