What are you expecting to be triggering? Keyboard, mouse, ssh connection, etc?
Also, to get more information in the logs, you can also add D_KEYBOARD and D_IDLE in
your STARTD_DEBUG config knob, this will give you more verbose output to see if triggers are happening.
