    Correct for 99%+ of configurations, as this is the intention.
    
    In the rare case there is a required configuration, it will be
    documented in the "Release Notes" section of each LTS release (no
    need to read the much more lengthy 'Bugs Fixed' or 'New Features'
    sections unless you are curious).  So for the v8.8 series, take a

    After a quick scan of this page, I just caught one possible config
    change (only applicable if you need to run HTCondor on a non-default
    TCP port):
    
    "The SHARED_PORT_PORT
    setting is now honored. If you are using
    a non-standard port on machines other than the Central Manager, this
    bug fix will a require configuration change in order to specify
    the non-standard port.
