Re: [HTCondor-users] Can I install the Central-manager and the submit in the same box?

Dear Vikrant Aggarwal,

Thank you forÂyour help.

First, I installed the central-manager with the following command.
./get_htcondor.sh --no-dry-run --channel stable --central-manager dhc --shared-filesystem-domain dhc.??.??

Everything was okay.

However, when I install the submit role, I've got the following error message
./get_htcondor.sh --no-dry-run --channel stable --submit dhc --shared-filesystem-domain dhc.??.??
Error: HTCondor appears to have been installed previously on this system.

You may update the existing install, or remove and then re-install.
To update: sh -c "yum update condor"
To remove: sh -c "yum -y autoremove condor && rm -fr /etc/condor"

It seems there is another way to install two roles in a machine.

Can anyone help?

ThankÂyou in advance, and have a great day.

Hello,Â

Yes it's possible. Infact you can have all htcondor daemons on a single machine.Â

Use the following command to see what daemons are configured on the machine.Â

condor_config_val daemon_listÂ

Thanks & Regards,
