	I haven't been able to reproduce the problem, but a review of the 
code changes in the annex between 8.8.1 and 8.9.0 revealed a set of fixes 
that might be relevant.  I'd appreciate if if you could try them; if 
you're willing, please reply (off-list is fine) with your preferred 
platform/format.  Thanks.
