Hi all,
apparently, there are still people needing SL5, and I need to add their boxes to our condor cluster.
The repo page [1] lists only EL6+. There is still a repo file for EL6 [2], but it points nowhere.
Is there a suggested way to install HTCondor for EL5 machines? I am reluctant to manually build and update from source on such dated machines.
I though someone was going to fix those:
Hi Dimitri,
You can get 8.2.10 from the "previous" repository:
https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/yum/repo.d/htcondor-previous-rhel5.repo
This release (8.2.10) of software is totally unsupported at this time.
Thank you for pointing out the misleading repo files. I will clean up the older rhel5 entries that should not be there.

Hi all,
is RHEL-5 dead, gone and buried? It is still referenced @
https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/yum/ and repo file is still there:
https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/yum/repo.d/condor-stable-rhel5.repo
(I would like to submit from a centos-5 machine)
TIA
