Yes, thank you, we have a winner.

Unfortunately it still terminates with signal 1 so perhaps PostCmd would
have worked too. I'll have to look at that matlab program... but anyway:

will run a "compiled" matlab program without a wrapper script -- with
preinstalled matlab runtime of course, and "MOUNT_UNDER_SCRATCH = /tmp"
on the worker node.

Might be worth getting into matlab jobs howto.
