[HTCondor-users] collector crashing due to POOL_HISTORY_DIR not existing

Hi all,

our collector has started today to crash regulary after startup due to a
POOL_HISTORY_DIR=/var/ViewHist not existing [1].

The situation improved somewhat after creating /var/ViewHist, but I
wonder why the problem suddenly occured and why this directory become
necessary - which actually stays empty?

As far as I can see, now changes had been applied by our puppet and no
packages had been updated/installed in the period before the problems
started.

Maybe somebody has an idea?
