[HTCondor-users] HTCondor with smartcard logon

Hello,

All job submissions go idle when smartcard authentication is enforced. I've implemented credd per the guidance in the 8.4.0 manual to no avail. The following error is observed in StarterLog.slot:

10/02/15 07:41:16 (pid:4224) init_user_ids: LogonUser failed with NT Status -2146892994

10/02/15 07:41:16 (pid:4224) Could not initialize user_priv as "GS\adurnan".

Make sure this account's password is securely stored with condor_store_cred.

10/02/15 07:41:16 (pid:4224) ERROR: Failed to determine what user to run this job as, aborting

10/02/15 07:41:16 (pid:4224) Failed to initialize JobInfoCommunicator, aborting

10/02/15 07:41:16 (pid:4224) Unable to start job.

10/02/15 07:41:16 (pid:4224) **** condor_starter (condor_STARTER) pid 4224 EXITING WITH STATUS 1

And in the Windows security log:

Failure Information:

Failure Reason: Smartcard logon is required and was not used.

Status: 0xc000006e

Sub Status: 0xc00002fa

Process Information:

Caller Process ID: 0x1080

Caller Process Name: C:\condor\bin\condor_starter.exe

Jobs will automatically complete after disabling smartcard authentication in the registry.
