When upgrading, the HTCondor MSI will look in the registry for the settings that you passed the first time you installed HTCondor and use those settings.
So having the binaries installed in various places should not present a problem, just DONT pass a installdir as an argument to the unattended install.

You can also query condor to get the installation location in order to build an install batch file on the fly.
just run
ÂÂ condor_config_val release_dir
on the machine.

Hi all,
Trying to figure out the best process for upgrading a pool of about 33 machines. Any input would be great. Not all our machines have Condor installed to the same directory... Is that an issue when trying to do a mass deployment?
I really don't want to do a manual install to each machine.
Thanks
