On the main machine,
[root@greylag ~]# cat /etc/condor/condor_config.local
ALLOW_WRITE = $(ALLOW_WRITE), 199.17.158.6, 199.17.158.20, 199.17.158.21
On the worker machines,
[root@pilgrim ~]# cat /etc/condor/condor_config.local
CONDOR_HOST = greylag.physics.winona.edu
DAEMON_LIST = MASTER, STARTD, SCHEDD
ALLOW_WRITE = $(ALLOW_WRITE), $(CONDOR_HOST)
I'm configuring a small cluster of RHEL7 machines to use condor. I used the UW yum repo to install. The machines are on a small network with fixed ip's. Each machine can run their own condor pool, but when I merge them, I get the following error:[root@greylag ~]# cat /etc/condor/condor_config.localDAEMON_LIST = MASTER, STARTD, SCHEDDCONDOR_HOST = greylag[root@greylag ~]# condor_restartSent "Restart" command to local master[root@greylag ~]# condor_statusError: communication errorCEDAR:6001:Failed to connect to <199.17.158.2:9618>If it matters, the machine's /etc/hosts file looks like:Ââ[root@greylag ~]# cat /etc/hosts199.17.158.2  Âgreylag     greylag.physics.winona.edu199.17.158.6  Âtoulouse    Âtoulouse.physics.winona.edu199.17.158.20  pilgrim     pilgrim.physics.winona.edu199.17.158.21  albatross    albatross.physics.winona.edu199.17.158.23  scania     Âscania.physics.winona.edu199.17.158.24  aykroyd     aykroyd.physics.winona.edu199.17.158.25  wyandotte    wyandotte.physics.winona.edu127.0.0.1  localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4::1     localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6ââChanging the "âCONDOR_HOST" value to ip address, or hostname.domainname doesn't seem to help.Any suggestions would be gratefully received!Nathan MooreMississippi River and 44th Parallel- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
