- Subject: [HTCondor-users] Debugging a DedicatedScheduler?
'm trying to run a parallel-universe job (as suggested in the manual,
just a multiple "sleep 300") but the job sits in the queue and
"condor_q -analyze" tells me
Request has not yet been considered by the matchmaker.
For the Configuration, I have taken the (public) name of the schedd
machine (confirmed using condor_status -sched), and assigned it to
DEDICATED_SCHEDULER, then
sg@:~/condor-par$ condor_config_val -dump | grep -i scheduler
DEDICATED_SCHEDULER = ....
DEDICATED_SCHEDULER_USE_FIFO = true
DedicatedScheduler = $(DEDICATED_SCHEDULER)
IsScheduler = (TARGET.JobUniverse == $(SCHEDULER_U))
SCHEDULER_U = 7
START_SCHEDULER_UNIVERSE = TotalSchedulerJobsRunning < 10
STARTD_ATTRS = COLLECTOR_HOST_STRING, DedicatedScheduler
VULCAN_PREEMPTION_REQUIREMENTS = ( ( MY.JobUniverse =?= 1 && $(ActivationTimer) > (6 * $(HOUR)) && RemoteUserPrio > SubmittorPrio * 1.5 ) ) && (Scheduler =!= $(DedicatedScheduler))
sg@:~/condor-par$ condor_config_val STARTD_EXPRS
Not defined: STARTD_EXPRS
Apparently the DS isn't running - what am I missing, and how would
I find out more?
Thanks,
Steffen
