Sorry, I just realized the issue --

"condor_submit" writes out "old-style" ads.  You want "classad.parseOld", not "classad.parse".

like the example says python throw an error...

SyntaxError: Unable to parse string into a ClassAd.

What am I missing?  This seems like it should work out of the box.
