[Condor-users] Getting stats about the schedd queue

Hello,

I'm wondering what is the most efficient way to get information about just the number of jobs in the schedd queue - just to get the last line of the default condor_q command eg: "100 jobs; 100 idle, 0 running, 0 held".

If there is a large number of jobs in the queue, the command takes quiet some time to execute so perhaps this information can be obtain somehow else?
