 I'm told there will be at least one more point release before 7.6.

But I should point out that my testing was using a 7.5 submit machine 
and a pool of 7.4 run machines.
It would be helpful if you could try out 7.5 on one of your submit 
machines let us know if you see
performance gains.   If you don't, or if it's not enough, we could talk 
further about how your configuration
differs from mine.
