The parts of a condor pool are not registered in any configuration file 
per se.  The condor installation on each machine is controlled by local 
configuration files (ie condor_config, condor_config.local) and a pool 
is largely determined by the configuration of each node.

To add a node a pool, you'll need to set the CONDOR_HOST on that node to 
the Central Manager(s) of that pool (where the Central Manager is the 
host running a Collector and a Negotiator).  You'll probably also need 
to tweak a few other settings like ALLOW_READ and ALLOW_WRITE.
