Senthil, Thank
you for replying, I knew that is the simplest way to achieve the goal of
claiming only 1 CPU but if I configure the startd machine that way I will only
be able to utilize one CPU at out of 4 it has available, this user only submits
jobs 3-4 times per week so whenever he send his jobs I will have to stop condor
on that machine, change the configuration, submit the job, wait for to finish,
stop condor again, then change again the condor_config to advertize all CPU’s
so, it is way too much work and I will be limiting the machine ability to be
utilized at the most efficient way. I think I found what I need in the How-to-Admin-Recipes
what I want, http://condor-wiki.cs.wisc.edu/index.cgi/wiki?p=HowToAllowSomeJobs.
I need to claim the whole machine for these jobs. I am having some issues dissecting
how to apply the article and make it work but that is another story thanks anyways
again. Respectfully, Alex Alas Systems Administrator Tel.

Behalf Of Natarajan, Senthil Hi, Having NUM_CPUS = 1 in
condor_config will do what you are trying to do. Good Luck. Senthil From: condor-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx
[mailto:condor-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Alas, Alex [FEDI] Hello to
all, I need to
run an specific type of job on a windows pool, the machines are 64 bit windows
7 boxes with only 2 GB memory total, which you all know the memory splits
equally 511 MB per CPU’s. This particular kind of jobs are memory
intensive so it usually shallows up to 2 GB. Is there to only claim 1 CPU per
machine and allocate all the memory for that job only? I’d been reading
the manual and I don’t seem to be going anywhere, maybe if I can be
pointed me to the right direction or can simply tell me this cannot be done, I
really appreciate the advice. I know I can limit the memory at the machine
level from the condor_config file but this pool serves a medium size group of
users that mass process jobs and require to utilize all the processing muscle
of the farm. Any input\help is welcome and I thank you in advance for it.
