Take a look at the condor_wait command, this parses the job log (which
can be programatically queried from the queue with condor_q -format "%s"
UserLog <jobid>

This will exit once the job finishes.

Hi there everyone 

As I understand it, when condor finished and "notification = always" is
specified in the job submit file, the user will get an email telling
them condor has finished and other useful information, and this is the
only way a user can be notified. Is there a way this can be done
programatically i.e. within a C++ program, to check if condor has
finished with the job? and if not does anyone know why not?
