[Condor-users] Xeon + Opteron

Hi,

I would like to hear from other Condor users if it is OK to mix
Opteron and Xeon nodes in a Linux x86-64 Condor cluster. So far, our
cluster used only Opteron CPUs, all running a Linux x86-64 OS, but now
we're considering replacing the head node (submission only) with a
faster Xeon-based server. Any comment or experience sharing will be
appreciated. In particular, will it be fine to run on an Opteron node
a binary compiled on the Xeon server using condor_compile?
