Hi So my installation problem seems to be solved. I nevertheless still have a problem to start condor. I got the following message: condor@ved1-sin:~$ condor_on Can't find address for local master Perhaps you need to query another pool. Here is my architecture: A Ubuntu server (ved1-sin) which should contain everything ! A windows machine acting as worker only. On the server: - condor is installed in /opt/condor-7.0.5 - I have created a condor user - I have a file /opt/condor-7.0.5/etc/condor_config (attached) - I also have a /home/condor/condor_config.local (attached) Thanks for your help Guillaume -------- Guillaume Alleon Senior Expert Simulation, IT & Systems Engineering EADS Innovation Works EADS Singapore Pte Ltd tel:+65 6778 2555 mob:+65 9180 7144 > -----Original Message----- > From: condor-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:condor-users- > bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adam Thorn > Sent: Wednesday, October 08, 2008 10:46 PM > To: Condor-Users Mail List > Subject: Re: [Condor-users] Basic installation > > > On Wed, 2008-10-08 at 12:52 +0200, Alleon, Guillaume wrote: > > Hi > > > > I just downloaded the latest stable release (7.05) for Debian 4.0 > > > > I want to install the server part on a Ubuntu Server 8.04.
