Re: [Condor-users] Does CONDOR help on a Non-parallel code?

Thank you for replying my question. Could somebody give me any idea about how it actually happens that using CONDOR decreases simulation time? For example I start simulation of a batch of 5 programs separately on each computer in my pool; how CONDOR helps programs run faster?

Thanks,

No, that's not how it works. Runtime of single simulation will actually
increase slightly due to overhead. However, you can run 5 simulations at
once (provided your simulations are separate program runs) and get 5x
speedup for a batch of them.
