[Condor-users] Lock type in HAD-Condor

Hi Group,
This might be pushing thing for a user list....
Can anyone indicate what 'locking' means in the context of Condor's
high-availability configuration:

In a Linux context I'm looking at a FUSE based file system (s3fs) and
was asked if these are: fcntl "advisory locks"
