[Condor-users] Machine name shows up as localhost.localdomain

Hi.
I upgraded a few machines in my condor pool to Fedora 8, and since then these machines are showing up as vm1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx etc. when I do a condor_status, for example. 
Some info:
$CondorVersion: 6.8.6 Sep 13 2007 $
$CondorPlatform: I386-LINUX_RHEL3 $
I have tried:
1) Restarting condor_master on these machines, and
2) Moved around the entries in the /etc/hosts file thinking that perhaps condor is interacting weirdly with it.

Any ideas about how I can get the hostnames to show up in place of localhost.localdomain?
