Thank you all for supporting our case and especially to Todd, I just
want to let everybody know that we were able to solve the dilemma that
enabled the script to run and populate the VIEWDIR folder so. I wanted
to inform the resolution of the problem in case somebody reads the
message and try to put some effort to on a solved case.

The viewdir directory is all uppercase. In the script we have the
variable as "condor/VIEWDIR". We have tried both upper and lower case to
no avail.

Just a quick guess:
On practically every Unix system, file pathnames are case sensitive.
Could it simply be inconsistency of /condor/VIEWDIR -vs- /condor/viewdir
?
