[Condor-users] A problem of condor install

Dear All,

I am a student from HongKong, and I encountered a problem when I installed condor on my ubuntu. I wanted to install condor on only one machine, and I used following command to do this:
root@tracy:~/condorInstall/condor-7.1.4# ./condor_install --type=submit,execute,manager

after that, I started the master, and used following command to check the processes:
root@tracy:~/condorInstall/condor-7.1.4# ps -ef|egrep condor_
condor    5889     1  0 11:28 ?        00:00:00 ./sbin/condor_master
condor    5890  5889  0 11:28 ?        00:00:00 condor_collector -f
condor    5891  5889  0 11:29 ?        00:00:00 condor_negotiator -f
condor    5892  5889  0 11:29 ?        00:00:00 condor_schedd -f
condor    5893  5889  0 11:29 ?        00:00:05 condor_startd -f
root      5894  5892  0 11:29 ?        00:00:00 condor_procd -A /tmp/condor-lock.tracy0.378553573814319/procd_pipe.SCHEDD -S 60 -C 1002
root      6089  5871  0 11:52 pts/0    00:00:00 egrep condor_

and then, I used following command to check the status of my one-machine pool, but I was told that the collector could not be found:
root@tracy:~/condorInstall/condor-7.1.4# ./bin/condor_status
Error:  Could not fetch ads --- can't find collector

I checked the collector log, and found following sentence:
ERROR: Unable to find collector info in configuration file!!!

However, If I install condor as the personal mode ( use --make-personal-condor), then everything is OK. I do not know what is wrong with above situation. I hope you can give me some advice.
