I understand Alan Sill from TTU is also interested
in knowing how much of the grid software stack will run on OS X, in
particular server packages -- he has successfully compiled and
installed most of the OSG client-side software to run on OS X. And as
I said, either Clemson or RENCI (IIRC) are already running Condor pools
which are accessible by OSG, however these aren't officially published,
so you have to know some secret incantation to put into your classad to
get them to run there.
Cheers,
Ian

Ahh! That would be great!
I've been in talks with Alain roy about how we could integrate
it into our current pool. More than likely we would flock the Mac Pool
with the OSG pool and then figure out a way to publish the info in GIP.

We use OS X, but so far not for Condor pools, although
that may change. I think Clemson may also have machines publishing OS
X, but they may only be available internally.
We'd be happy to work with you to share experiences of the process, and
if you put them into an OSG accessible pool, we'd happily use them.
Our full software stack is already compiled for PPC and Intel Mac.

Does anybody use OS X for Condor Pools? I was thinking of putting our
Spare dual core and quad core Mac pros (PowerPC and Intel) into a
Cluster and either joining them to OSG or Flocking them with somebody
but wondering if anybody would care or use them?
