[Condor-users] problem while trying to compile condor examples

hi all,

i tried to execute this command however i got the following error 

condor_compile cc loop.c -o loop.remote

" 
ERROR: Cannot
 execute 
condor_config_val   You must put the directory that contains 
condor_config_val in your $ for condor_compile to work."

 also we were able to update the path but we still get the same error
any suggestions are appreciated thanks in advance
