It turns out that if you want to do it all on the central server, you
don't needa a view_server at all. the main collector can do the work
of view server and collector too. I have a 400-node 2000-slot
cluster configured in this manner. I believe the caution is mainly
historical. I would also note that I have a dedicated machine
to be the collector/negotiator that doesn't run any schedd's or shadows.

Could the condor view collector listen on a different port to
the manager collector and the manager be configured to send it's
pool info to it.
