[Condor-users] Using development chirp feature with stable release?

Hi,

I'd like to use a new chirp feature - introduced in the development 
releases to write
custom information in the log file of a job - and I'm quite curious if I 
could use that
with the 6.8.4 stable release scheduler. Is it possible to use 6.9.1 
starter + chirp
to write data to the 6.8.4 scheduler's log file, or do I need similar 
versions for this?
