Do you want to try something like this.

#! /bin/sh
export
PATH=/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/java/jre1.5.0_06/bin/:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/u
sr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/scratch/senthil/bin
exec matlab -nojvm -nodisplay -nosplash -r "MPC_CT(2,2)" 


I tried with the above script, but still the code crashes.

Try making sure your HOME environment variable is set at execution time
and
that your PATH environment variable is less than 1024 characters.
